Jackdaw Design Supports Young Talent at Transform Awards Ceremony
At Jackdaw Design, we believe in helping to build a vibrant future for the design industry.
So we were delighted when our creative director, Amanda Jackson, was invited to judge Transform magazine’s Young Contenders awards for the second year running.
Transform is the only global magazine for rebranding and brand redevelopment, and the annual awards, this year held at the stylish Leonardo Royal Hotel London St Paul’s, recognise those young designers making an outstanding contribution to the industry.
This year the competition was fierce, with six candidates making the final cut: Hanni Bateman, Josie Evans, Kieran Hawes, Marijn Roozemond, Julie Sim and Karina Stolf. All the finalists have produced incredible work in the last 12 months, have made an impact within their organisations, and have been crucial to the success of their client’s campaigns.
Ultimately, Josie Evans, senior designer at IE Brand & IE Digital was awarded ‘Creative Young Contender of the Year, while Marijn Roozemond, senior creative strategist at MassiveMusic, won the ‘Strategic Young Contender of the Year’, with the remaining finalists picking up distinctions or merits.
Congratulations must also go to Transform magazine for their service to the design community. In very difficult circumstances, the team at the magazine worked tirelessly to make an actual awards event happen. Watch the awards ceremony here.
“It was an amazing afternoon of in-person judging and passionate debate with my fellow judges, near our studio in South London,” says Amanda Jackson.
“We are thrilled to see the new wave of talented young leaders making an impact in the rebranding and brand development space. These six finalists are crucial to the success of the branding industry in the years to come and we’re excited to see what the TYC winners will achieve in the future.”
